Paul Ramirez Jonas: Heavier than Air

This book surveys a decade of work of New York-based visual artist Paul Ramírez Jonas. It was published to coincide with the artist’s Heavier Than Air exhibition at Ikon in June 2004. Edited by Sofía Hernández Chong Cuy, the book is divided in two main sections, starting with a peculiar kind of documentation of a selection of projects by the artist. This is followed by a section of texts including a foreword by Ikon director, Jonathan Watkins, an essay by Ines Katzenstein, and questions to the artist by Sandra Antelo Suarez, Kirby Gookin and Daniel Bozhkov; it also includes a biographical timeline by the artist and a comprehensive bibliography of writing about his work.
